How can I find the AMA style in EndNote?

June 9, 2009 – Yingting

Question:  I am trying to use the AMA style for my paper; however, I cannot find that style in EndNote. Is there another name it is under?

Answer:  In EndNote, the AMA Style is under JAMA.ens which is ordered below J Zoology. If you don’t find it in the EndNote Styles folder, you may download that style at and save it in your EndNote Styles folder under C:\Program Files\EndNote X2\Styles.

  1. Just to add, I went into preferences and changed the JAMA by making it ‘sentence capitalisation’ otherwise the references are written as they are in the title field which can be a mix of capitalisations.

  2. thanks a lot for this nice guidance regarding endnote
