How to Add Page Numbers to Citations in a Paper?

Question: I am having trouble adding page numbers to some of my citations within my paper.  I am using the Archives of Internal Medicine reference style with Endnote X1.  I need to add page #s into my manuscript when using direct quotes.  I right click on the citation within the manuscript, go to edit citation from the drop down and within the edit citation box type the page # into the box that says pages.  When I click ok, the page # does not appear in my manuscript, only the citation #.  When I go back to the edit citation screen, I can see the page # listed in the Citations in Document box, it is just not appearing in the manuscript. Is there something else I need to do to get the page # into the paper?

Answer: The “Pages” field is only for use with styles that are set to use Cited Pages. For all other styles, you would use the Suffix field instead. For more information about this, please see our Frequently Asked Questions page about this issue here:
