How to Tackle Problems Resulted from Incompatibility between Acrobat 8 & EndNote?

Thanks to Rebecca Brody who contacted EndNote Support team regarding the problems she experienced ralated to the incompatibility between EndNote and Adobe Acrobat 8, here are the possible solutions offered by an EndNote Support representaive:

“Indeed Adobe Acrobat 7 and 8 have started having various problems working
with EndNote on Windows machines. We have been making 2 suggestions.

1) Use FoxIT for your PDF needs. They have the free FoxIT reader as well as
a purchasable PDF creator. FoxIT is %100 compatible with EndNote and seems
to work faster the Adobe.

2) Shut down the CWYW tools in Word before using PDF Creator. You can do
this by going to Tools / Templates and Add-ins and un checking the EndNote
add-in. Ignore the EndNote Web add-in.”
